The contact form
When you send a message we receive your name, email address, and any phone number, business name, area and message you add. We use them only to reply to you and to prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Messages are delivered to our business inbox and kept for up to two years, then deleted, unless you become a customer. We never sell your details.
Spam protection
The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated spam. It loads only when you start filling in the form, and Google's privacy policy applies to it.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics only if you say yes on the cookie banner. It helps us see which pages are useful. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off. If you say no, no analytics cookies are set and any left from an earlier "yes" are removed. You can change your mind at any time: . Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage.
Direct mail campaigns
When we run a mail campaign for a client, we build the mailing list from public Companies House records (company names and registered or trading addresses). We use this under legitimate interests for business-to-business mailings. Every mailing says who sent it and how to opt out. If you received a letter and don't want any more, email info@smart5.co.uk with the company name and postcode and we will add you to our suppression list so no client campaign we run contacts you again. Lists are used only for the campaign they were built for and are deleted within six months.
Client data
When we manage websites, Google profiles or campaigns for clients, the data belongs to the client and we process it only on their instructions, under a written agreement. We never use one client's customer data for anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, object to direct mail, or withdraw your consent. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
